About me

I am a senior software engineer and technical lead with 9+ years of experience currently working with Kotlin, Spring Boot and AWS. I am pasionate about clean code and clean architecture but also about the agile philosophy. As a technical lead I am the adept of Servant Leadership and love helping my team mates achieve their goals. I also like using my skills for the benefit of the community, like being a Java Teacher for ReDi School.

October 2019 - Present : Technical Lead

Developing and maintaining backend services writen in Kotlin with Spring Boot and deployed on AWS for the wlw.de B2B platform.
Providing mentorship for my juniour colleagues and growth guidance during one to one sessions.
Created a knowledge sharing hub inside the company where developers can meet and share learnings and ideas.
Actively participating in improving team practices.
Closely working with other Team Leads to identify common problems and find common solutions that can be adapted in more teams.

Developed and maintained backend microservices written in Kotlin and Java using Spring Boot Framework and AWS services meant to serve the biggest news application in Europe with over 30 million monthly users.
I was involved in all steps required to bring features live from concept, planning, actual implementation and testing while taking care of the overall state of the system.
Worked closely with other development teams and editors in an agile environment, giving guidance to newcomers and mentoring junior colleagues and also representing my team as a team ambassador in product development syncing and decision-making meetings.
